Richard L. Buchanan, 65, of London, died peacefully at his home Monday, surrounded by his loved ones, after a brief battle with cancer. Born January 27, 1950 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Francis
and Ferrell Jean (Bush) Buchanan. He was a Viet Nam Veteran with the United States Army and had been employed at the Madison Correctional Institution for more than 30 years. He was a loving husband
to Tonya and a loving father to six kids; son: Troy (Wendy) Dillion of London; daughter: Bobbie (Brian) Sollars of London; son: Michael (Theresa) Buchanan of London; daughter: Jennifer (Bruce) Daily
of Bloomingburg; son: James (Glenda) Kuebler of Bloomingburg; daughter: Ashley Kuebler of London. He was a loving grandfather to Aaron and Logan Dillion, Alexis and Makayla Sollars, Destiny, Tori,
and Kameryn Buchanan, Oshzina and Jonathan Colwell, Lexi and Kaci Daily, and Weston Kuebler. Also survived by his sister: Vicky Clifton of London brother: Seymore Buchanan of Mechanicsburg;
brothers-in-law: Mike (Vikki) Hodge. Hank (Kami) Hodge: sisters-in-law: Nancy (Richard) Matson, Teri (Jon) Ellars. Numerous nieces and nephews and special friends of Madison Correctional
Institution. Richard was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Elmer Clifton; two nieces, Kristen and Kwen Buchanan; father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Mildred Rush. Friends are invited
to call at the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 124 E. High St., London, Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where a funeral service will celebrated Friday 11:00 AM. with the
Reverend Mike Hodge and Pastor Steve Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to: Loving Care Hospice, 56 S.
