Subject: Bright's disease

Bright's disease (generic term) or nephritis

Inflammatory process involving the kidneys caused by bacteria, lead poisoning etc. I lived in the coal camps of West Virginia and there was an
epidemic that summer. Three of us lived 4 were not so lucky all children. Complete bed rest and a very limited special diet, Michiganlk,
buttermilk, vegetables, sugars. no protein and small amount of fluid. I remember it well the diet gets sickening after a few days and the
bed rest boring when you are 12 yrs old. But, I survived due to a very caring mother and a doctor that came every day. Had to have
follow-up IVP's for several years after. But never had any showing of damage and I am now 59. No it is not hereditary.

A note was given to my mother by Nina Louise DILLION Robey, daughter of Harry Raymond DILLION, who is the son of Charles Layton DILLION, who is the son of Wright DILLION Sr., states: This note
actually explains a little of the folklore given to me:

"Wright DILLION joined the North against the South in the Civil War. He was injured and in a hospital (former old Army hospital) in Chillicothe, Ohio where his wife met up with him. Elizabeth had to
hide the fact her husband was serving on the North. She sold their property in , West Virginia, United States and brought household goods, personal belongings and two children (one walked and one
was carried) to Mason County, West Virginia on the Ohio River. A black man ferried them across the Ohio River to Gallipolis, Ohio. Then Elizabeth went to Chillicothe, Ohio where she met up with her
injured husband."
