- The Researcher [0777] lists About 1782 because Asa's father, Jesse DILLON, was born in 1749 and there would have only been 13 years between the births of father and son. Either Jesse was
a very young father, or they were brothers, or the birth year of Asa is in error? The Researcher believes the latter. The Researcher believes Asa was probably born About 1882. Jesse would then
have been 33 years old when Asa was born. Asa would then have been 16 when he married Mary Elizabeth Blankenship on August 13, 1798. The Researcher also placed her birth year at 1884 thinking that
Marshall Wingfield in his Book [0012] slipped sixes into both birth years where eights should have been.

ARRINGTON, BANDY, BRAKE, DILLON, GREER, NEIGHBORS, SMITH -
Elizabeth Bandy Greer, daughter of Richard Bandy, who left his will in Botetourt County Virginia. in 1795, married Aquilla Greer, Jr, (born 1744 in Baltimore Co, Md.) relocated to Bedford, later
Franklin County, Virginia, United States, where he died between 1782 and 1783 according to the tax records. He and Elizabeth had 6 sons: William, Asa, Elijah, Elisha, Richard, and Aquilla, III and 2
daughters: Martha Patsy and Elizabeth. William Greer returned from Oglethrope Co, Ga, in 1797, where he mirgrated with his grandfather Aquilla Greer, Sr. in 1790, to Franklin County, Virginia,
United States and sold the land, a grant of 330 acres that Aquilla, Jr had received from the governor of Virginia., to settle the estate of his late father, Aquilla Greer, Jr. Martha Patsy Greer
married Braxton Brake; Elizabeth Greer married Asa DILLON; Asa married Rebecca Neighbors, and Aquilla Greer III married Elizabeth Smith, all of Franklin County, Virginia, United States. Elizabeth
Bandy Greer married on 27 December 1800, Samuel Arrington. Have been unable to locate her since that 27 Dec 1800 marriage date. Plan to publish a book on my Greer Family and have much data on them
in Franklin County and surrounding counties; but would like to further identify her, as she was my fourth great grand-mother. Any information welcome. Thanks
