- I happened to meet Lester and his wife, Margaret, at Deer Creek Township Cemetery on September 6, 1996. I was there collecting pine cones and he and his wife were there looking at his family
tombstones. They pointed out a concrete urn that had been moved in front of a family tombstone instead of the rear of the tombstone where it and another metal urn had sat for fifty years. They told
me that the metal urn had been stolen years before and the concrete urn was the replacement. I mentioned that I had come to the cemetery because my great-great-grandfather was buried there and it
was quite peaceful. They asked who my great-great-grandfather was and I told them Henderson DILLION. This lead to a discussion of our family members who are buried there. The family members actually
helped lay out the cemetery. They told me the name of the current caretaker of the cemetery, Burt Scott. We then exchanged addresses and phone numbers and bid farewell.
