Virgil H. McCray, 84, of 548 West Main Street, Carrollton, died at his home last Thursday after an illness of one year.

A retired farmer, he was born in Harrison Twp. and had lived in Carrollton for 33 years. Mr. McCray was a member of United Church of Christ (E & R), Carrollton.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nina McCray, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter.

Services were Saturday at the Sweeney Funeral Home here with the Rev. Lawrence Holmer officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, in Carrollton.
