Jackson Armstrong's (1829-1901) parents are unknown at this time. Court records in Fayette Co., Ohio of May 23, 1831 name Jackson Armstrong's guardian as Christopher Turnipseed (about 1790-1854).
Christopher Turnipseed's 1st wife was Mary "McMullen" Turnipseed (about 1794-1840). It is not known if there was any family connection at that time to Christopher & Mary "McMullen" Turnipseed &
Jackson Armstrong.

Christopher & Mary's son, John Turnipseed (about 1815-____), & wife, Mary "Todd" Turnipseed (about 1824-____), were the parents of Phebe Turnipseed (about 1829-____). Phebe became the wife of
Jackson Armstrong on July 26, 1856 in McLean Co., Ohio.

The 1850 Federal Census, McLean Co., South Mackinaw side, Illinois lists as follows: Christ Turnipseed, age 60, farmer, born in Pennsylvania. Rebecca Turnipseed, age 40, born in Illinois. Rachel
Turnipseed, age 1, born in Illinois. Jackson Armstrong, age 21, laborer, born in Ohio. Christopher Turnipseed (Jr.) (1821-1882, John Turnipseed (about 1815-____).
