Grace Sturgell, Age 95, departed this life to be with the Lord on February 26, 2016.

She was born in Mingo County, West Virginia on August 9, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Charles Walter and Rosa Canterbury Dillon of Dingess, West Virginia.

At the time of her passing she resided at her home at Stepptown, West Virginia. She was a homemaker and loved to sew in her spare time. She was a member of the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church.

Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Rupert G. Sturgell, three brothers; Paul, Calvin and Herman Dillon, five sisters; Dorothy Deskins, Juanita Parsley, Loretta Workman, Loraine Dillon and Maudie Tomblin, two grandsons; Scottie Marcum, Wesley Randell Sears and one great-grandchild; Finn Cooper.

Survivors include sons; Arhie Sturgell and Larry (Ruth) Sturgell of Dayton, Ohio, daughters; Imogene Cooper, Gerline (Jack) Lude of Columbus, Ohio, Lillie Mae Sears, Denise (James) Meade of Stepptown, West Virginia, Ruth (Leon) Michael of Bradenton, Florida and Colleen (Woodrow) Perry of Mayock, North Carolina along with 20 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters; Nora M. Conn of Lenore, West Virginia and Dicle Charles of Lovely, Kentucky, one brother, Walter Dillon of Waverly, Ohio and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, friends and neighbors.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 6-9pm Sunday at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield, KY. Monday after 3pm at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church at Marrowbone, WV. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 12:00pm at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
