Chase McKenzy Sharrett, 25, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 10, 2016. Born January 21, 1991 in Columbus, Ohio. Chase was a 2009 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School and a 2010 graduate of Tolles Technical Center. In 2010 he joined the U.S. Navy where he served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic while stationed in Norfolk, VA. Member of Christian Fellowship Church of Columbus. Chase was a USSF Soccer Referee; he enjoyed sports, playing pool and softball. He was an avid Video Gamer and had a passion for Karaoke. Chase is survived by his parents, Cheri Sharrett and Christopher Sharrett; sister, Caitlyn Sharrett; aunts and uncles, Bill and Matt Sharrett, Amy Colcord, Christine (Glenn "Oodie") Dillion, Harland (Janel) Smyers, Carmen Smyers; grandparents, Bill and Norma Sharrett, Pastor Richard and Barbara Smyers; great grandmother, Viola Shimp; numerous cousins and special niece, Caylei; god mother, Cynthia Henderson. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (St. Rt. 161 W), Plain City, Ohio, where memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday with Chase's grandfather, Richard L. Smyers, Pastor officiating. PLAIN CITY - Chase McKenzy Sharrett, 25, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 10, 2016.
Born Jan. 21, 1991 in Columbus, Ohio.
