William Cyrus DILLON was the son of McCager DILLON and Mary CALLICOTT

Born: 11 May 1817 in Franklin County, VA.

Died: 8 Jul 1903 in Windsor Townplace, Lawrence County, OH.

Notes: Record of William C. DILLON sale of land to the Mt Zion Baptist Church, Windsor Twp, 3-2-16, December 31, 1895, 4/3 A. Pt. NE. SE.

William C. DILLON was married to Elizabeth(Eliza) Pinkerman, Elizabeth Sowards and Jane McConnell. Elizabeth Pinkerman and Elizabeth Sowards both died. Elizabeth Sowards died from complications following the birth of Nettie A. DILLON (died 18 days later).

William C. DILLON is listed on p. 455, Vol. 5, Index to Lawrence County Wills.

P., on the 19th of August, 1855. Additionally, it was the second marriage for both. Her first marriage was on July 17, 1842, to Wilson B. Lewis, who died after the 1850 census. Their daughter was raised by her mother and William C. DILLON, and married James M. McComas in November 1973. I don't have an exact location, but assume the 1855 marriage took place in Windsor/Mason twp., because that's where Thomas Higgins was a JP."(9/97)
