Subject: DILLION Website - Visitor

Good day,

I just found your DILLON website last night after gathering some information on my Mother's side of the family.

My mother, Dolores Darlene Hall (maiden name Edmonds) is the daughter of Blanche Lottie Edmonds ( maiden name DILLON) who is the daughter of Alva Victoria DILLON (maiden name Acord) and Emory Guy DILLON.

I've found some common names seen on your website in some old clippings that were passed down through the family.

Mainly, I have a funeral notice for Emory Guy DILLON that lists that he was the son of Will and Mintie Clay DILLON. I believe that these parents are the same William Preston DILLON and Arminta Clay you have published in your webpages. However your Page has no mention of Emory Guy DILLON. The funeral notice also names survivors, brother Charlie DILLON, two sisters, Mrs. Eva Stewart and Mrs. Lura Farmer. The funeral was held in Whitesville WV and he is laid to rest at Adkins Cemetery in Naoma WV.

If you are interested, I'd be happy to e-mail you a scan of the funeral notice and I can also send a gedcom file.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Regards,
Greg Hall

Hi Tom,

Thank you very much for your reply. The information gathered from your site has filled a huge void on my Mom's side of my family. I've been looking into the Hall side for a couple years now. Lots of dead ends there. But my wife just put together the data from my Mom's side into the computer and I did some searching and found more than I'd hoped for. Anyway, the information from your webpages really made our day. We very much appreciate your efforts.

I'm attaching the funeral notice for Emory Guy DILLON. Also I'm attaching an obit for Mrs. Lura Farmer, sorry no dates on that one. Also see the death certificate fro Alva Victoria DILLON, wife of Emory and her newspaper obit. And I'm attaching a gedcom file. I use Legacy software and it gave me the option to export as a gedcom 5.5 file. I don't know a great deal about gedcom files, so
I hope it works for you.

That's about all I have for now, I hope you find it useful. My Mom was going to go through some of her old pictures to see if she can find a few faces to go with some of the names.

And feel free to pass on any other info you might have on hand.

Take care,
Greg Hall
