Maxine L. White, 77, of Plain City died Thursday, January 28, 1999, at her residence.

She was retired from the Plain City Library and was a life member of the Plain City Presbyterian Church (USA), Plain City Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution - Old Trails Chapter, Daughter of the American Colonists, International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons, Ivory Chandler Circle, and the Union County Genealogical Society.

She was born February 6, 1921, in Plain City to the late Asa and Esther Worthington Lombard and was predeceased by her husband, Joseph White in 1977.

She is survived by children, John (Carolyn) Schreck, Plain City, Roxana (James) Mink of Powell, Philip (Margaret) White of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Joseph A. (Jeannie) White of Plain City, Frank (Pam) White of Powell and Mary (Andy) Furr of Grove City; step-sons, Joseph Lowell (Nadine) White of Columbus and Donald (Lynda) White of Westerville; 17 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Boerger and Vivian Lester of Plain City; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Plain City Presbyterian Church, 231 E. Main Street, Plain City. The Reverends James Browne and Debbie Lewicki and the Reverend Dr. Charles Stenner will officiate. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Ferguson Funeral Home.

Burial wil be at Forest Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to any of the organizations named above or to Hospice at Riverside/Grant, 3535 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214-9861.

The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday, Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street (St. Rt. 161W), Plain City. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Monday, Plain City Presbyterian Church, 231 E. Main Street, Plain City. Reverend James Browne, Reverend Debbie Lewicki and Reverend Dr. Charles Stenner officiating.

Burial Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.
