Ralph Jerald Peterman, 69, of Marysville died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, at the residence.
He was a member of the Evangelical Friends Church and was retired from the Ohio Reformatory for Women. He was an avid harness racing horseman.
He was born Oct. 31, 1927, in Resaca to the late Raymond and Delilah Craig Peterman and was predeceased by a grandson, Timothy Lee Peterman; two brothers, Keith Peterman and David Peterman; and a sister, Helen Janice Peterman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Giehl Peterman, whom he married July 4, 1948, in Columbus; two daughters, Beverly (Jim) Picklesimon and Judith Crum of Marysville; two sons, Gary (Teri) Peterman of Marysville and Ralph Dennis Peterman of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three granddaughters, Jennifer Picklesimer of Plain City and April (Jeff) Carroll and Jeanette (Brian) Bowersmith of Marysville; a grandson, Matt Hamilton of Marysville; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Miller and Carolyn (Raymond) Elfrink of London; and five brothers, Lowell (Connie) Peterman and Paul (Libby) Peterman of West Jefferson, Roger (Elsie) Peterman and Charles (Carol) Peterman of London and Gayle (Ellie) Peterman of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ingram Funeral Home. Tim Kelley will officiate and burial will be at the Mitchell Cemetery in Milford Center. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church in care of the funeral home.
