Raymond H. Dillion, 86, of 51 N. Madison Road, London, died Monday afternoon in Madison Elms Nursing Home where he had been a resident for nearly one year.

He was born in Plumwood on December 14, 1897, a son of John Wesley and Maude Lillie Whisner Dillion.

For 27 years he was employed as a carpenter with the Van Horn Construction Co. in London from which he retired in 1972. He was a member of the Apostolic Gospel Church in London.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Howard Dillion of London; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Norma Dillion of London; two grandsons, Elwood Dillion of London and Roger Dillion Jr. (Denny) of Newport; one granddaughter, Cynthia Dillion of London; three great-grandsons, Elwood Dillion Jr. (Rusty), and Michael and Timothy Dillion, all of London and one great-granddaughter, Lynn Dillion, also of London.

His wife, Hazel Stone Dillion, preceded him in death January 12, 1968.

Services were conducted August 16 in the Geer-Eberle Funeral Home, London, with Reverend Lewis Worley officiating.

Interment followed in Lafayette Cemetery.

Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Howard Dillion; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Norma Dillion, all of London; grandsons, Elwood, of London, and Roger, Jr. (Denny), of Newport; granddaughter, Cynthia Dillion, London; 3 great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter.

Service 1 p.m. Thursday in the Geer-Eberle Funeral Home, London. Reverend Lewis Worley officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home 4-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Interment in Lafayette Cemetery.
