Springfield News-Sun, Springfield, Ohio November 29, 1969 Herman Atherman Dillion, 77, a retired farmer, died Friday at 3:35 p.m. in Madison County Hospital, where he had been admitted a few hours earlier. He was born September 17, 1892, in Deercreek Township, son of Henry and Emma Hauntz Dillion. He had been a life resident of Madison County, living in Summerford the last 13 1/2 years. He had been employed by the Selsor family at Greenwood Farms near South Solon for more than 20 years. A former marshal in the village of Sedalia, Mr. Dillion was a member of Plumwood Church of Christ in Christian Union. He is survived by his wife, Stella Tatman Dillion; three sons, Harry and Clarence of London and Ralph of Madison Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Gaylord (Ruth) Butcher; Mrs. Robert (Norma Jean) Puckett, Madison Lake; Mrs. Lee (Louise) Dunston, London, Route 1; Mrs. Ernest (Doris) Morris, London; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Dora Green of London. Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Chester R. Geer Funeral Home, with the Reverend James Akers and the Reverend Raymond McDaniels officiating. Friends, may call at the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday afternoon and evening. Burial will be in Sedalia Cemetery.
