Individual Data The Register Herald, Beckley, West Virginia September 14, 1999 Sarah A. Dillion, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, in a Fairlea hospital. Born July 29, 1911, in Summers County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Elmira Fleshman Smith. Mrs. Dillion was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bud" Dillion; a daughter, Sarah Meador; four brothers, Frank, Weldon, Wilbur and Theodore Smith; four sisters, Sylvia Thomas, Ella Terry, Mae Newman and Odessa Broyles; and a grandson, Lloyd Meador. Survivors include two grandsons, Jim Meador and Donald Meador; three granddaughters, Sue Ellen Bates of Bluefield, Virginia, Wilma Lee Carr of Lindside and Jeannie Lynn Meador of Greenville; and a great-granddaughter, Angela Dawn Carr. Graveside services were 11 a.m. Monday at Broyles Cemetery with the Reverend Ed Burchette officiating. Arrangements by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown. |
