Eldon Dillion, 90, of Mechanicsburg, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2001 in the Arbors at London Nursing Home.

Born July 26, 1910 in Madison County, he was a son of Joe and Rose (Tarpenning) Dillion.

He was a member of the London Church of Christ in Christian Union since 1945, where he was active as an Elder, a Sunday school teacher, had served on the board of trustees and twice served as a missionary to Mexico. He had also been employed as a mechanic with the Orleton Farms for 43 years before retiring in 1975.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Janet Dillion of London, Alan and Janet Dillion of London, David and Pam Dillion of Mechanicsburg; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Dillion of London; sister, Betty Boughn of London; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise (Pennell) Dillion in 1984; son, Edwin Dillion on January 12, 2000; sisters, Ercel Becker and Florence Dillion; brothers, Willie, Roy and John Dillion.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the London Church of Christ in Christian Union with the Reverend Lee Stanley officiating.

Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery, Lafayette.

If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the London Church of Christ in Christian Union.

The family is being served by the Eberle Funeral Home, London.
