Individual Data The Free Press Standard, Carroll County, Ohio September 19, 1929 John P. Miller, 96, of Miller Ridge died Thursday, September 12, following a recent stroke of paralysis. He was born August 20, 1833. He was married August 1, 1849 to Elizabeth Frances Rader, who preceded him in death November 1, 1927. Mr. Miller is survived by six daughters; Mrs. Mary Hewitt, of Bergholz; Mrs. Ella S. Jackman, of Canton; Mrs. Nora White, of Columbus; Mrs. Laura Hewitt, of St. Louis; Mrs. Frances McIntosh, of Bayard; and Miss Carrie Miller, of the home; one son, Fred Miller of Bergholz. Two daughters, Miss Louanna Miller and Mrs. Ida Leeper preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon followed by services at the West Union Methodist Episcopal Church with Reverend E. G. McKibben, of Bergholz, in charge. Burial was made at West Union. |
