Individual Data Post Herald, Whitesville, West Virginia September 9, 1969 Rites Scheduled For Mrs. Dillon Whitesville (RNS) Mrs. Alva Victoria Dillon, 75, died at her home Monday morning after a long illness. Born November 13, 1893, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Acord. Survivors include two sons, Robert A. of Whitesville and Denvil Guy Dillon of Valiero, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Virl Thomas and Mrs. Blanche Edmunds, both of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Snowden Acord of Eccles; three sisters, Mrs. Flose Acord of Bolt, Mrs. Sarah Acord of Eccles and Mrs. Martha Ann Cook of Saxon; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Whitesville Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Gwinn in charge. Burail will be in the Adkins Cemetery at Naoma. The body will remain at Valley Funeral Home in Whitesville where friends may call after 4 p.m. today. (Click on Image to View Enlargement) |
