John A. Baker, 80, Marengo, Friday, July 5, 2002.

Born April 21, 1922 in Hilliard to the late John A. and Josephine (Harrison) Baker. Retired Locomotive Engineer, New York Central and Conrail Railroads and farmer. Member Columbus Baptist Temple.

Survived by wife, Doris A. Dillion Baker; son, Robert A. (Sandra) Baker, San Antonio, Texas; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Mary Sue (Bill) Aitchison, Plain City; nephews, Eddie (Lillian) Tuller and Doc (Effie) Tuller, both of Powell and Ernie (Linda) Tuller of Dublin; great-nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors.

Preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 nephew.

Friends may call Tuesday, July 9, 2002 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, State Route 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m., Pastors Vic Jungkurt and C.L. Fuqua officiating.

Interment Dublin Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Columbus Baptist Temple Building Fund.

John A. Baker, 80 of Marengo, died Friday July 5, 2002 at Marion General Hospital in Marion.

He was born on April 21, 1922 in Hilliard to the late John A. and Josephine (Harrison) Baker.

He was a retired Locomotive Engineer for New York Central and Conrail Railroads and farmer. Member of the Columbus Baptist Temple where he was a Trustee for 40+ years.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris A. Dillion Baker and they were married June 22, 1945 in Russell, Kentucky; son, Robert A. (Sandra) Baker of San Antonio, Texas; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Mary Sue (Bill) Aitchison of Plain City; nephews, Eddie (Lillian) Tuller and Doc (Effie) Tuller both of Powell and Ernie (Linda) Tuller of Dublin; great-nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Preceded in death by 3 Sisters, Mary Stanley, Della Tuller and Audrey Baker and 1 Nephew, Ray Tuller.

Friends may call Tuesday July 9, 2002 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, State Route 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Vic Jungkurt and C. L. Fuqua officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dublin Cemetery.
