Dale L. Peterman, age 58, of London, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 1, 2005 in his home.

Born June 21, 1947 at home in Madison County.

Dale was employed as a Truck Driver with Madison County Engineer. He is an Army Veteran that re-enlisted for a second tour at which time he was shot in Vietnam. He is a lifetime member of the Plain City VFW Post #3268 and a member of the Plain City American Legion, London Eagles and Port Clinton Moose Lodge. Dale loved working on his boat and fishing. He was the proprietor of Peterman Boat Repair, a business his father started. He enjoyed carpenter work, gardening, working in his yard and cooking. He could do anything he put his mind to and really had a passion for helping others and socializing.

Preceded in death by father Keith Peterman in 1996, sister Linda Kidd in 1977.

Survived by his wife, Bernie (Schaner) Peterman whom he married on June 28, 1985; mother, Virginia Peterman of Hilliard; children, Scott (Renee) Peterman of Elbridge, NY, Robbyn (Bill) Robnett of Akron, NY, Michele (Brian) Williams of Marysville, Marcus Young of Columbus; grandchildren, Samantha and Zackary Peterman, Jenna, Jeremy, Nathan and Alex Robnett, Bryant Williams; sister, Dianne (Jim) Walters of Plain City.

Friends may call 2-7 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2005 at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St. (State Route 161 W.) Plain City where services will be conducted immediately following at 7 p.m. Sunday, with Military Honors.

Burial will take place at a later time in Dayton VA Cemetery.
