Donald R. Dillion, 95, of London, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in the Arbors at London.

Born January 31, 1914, in London, he was a son of William H. and Minnie Viola (Seamon) Dillion.

For 28 years Donald worked at the former McCord Radiator factory in London and later was employed by Ranco in Plain City for 11 years. He also had a garden and mowing service in and around the London area for some time, doing plowing, mowing, disking, and dragging gardens.

Donald attended the London Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a lifetime member of the Madison County Senior Citizens organization. A former member of the Moose Lodge, he was a lifetime member and a past president of the Eagles Lodge No. 950 in London. He was also a collector of old engines and antique automobiles.

Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Gale and Esther Dillion of Mt. Sterling, Lowell and Shirley Dillion of London, and Jim and Sharon Dillion of London; a daughter and son-in-law, Chloe Anna and David Vitalis of Fairfax, Virginia; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Mary Henry of London; a very special friend, Eva Williams of London.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Pauline "Polly" Francis (Henry) Dillion who died September 12, 1983; a son, Wendell Richard Dillion who died in 1940; four brothers, Orville, Lawrence "Bud", Willis and Robert Dillion.

Friends may call at the church from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 15. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009, in the Center Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, London. Reverend Lee Stanley will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Kirkwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the London Church of Christ in Christian Union.
