August 30, 2004 Gladys M. Dillion, 73, of Celina, died at 2:50 a.m. Aug. 28, 2004, at her residence. She was born Sept. 15, 1930, in Celina, to Harvey and Clema Ellen Rhoades Garman. On March 6, 1959, she married Ralph W. DILLION who died May 31, 1991. Surviving are two sons, David (Diane) Shinn, Smyrna, Tenn., and Daniel (Michelle) DILLION, Celina; three daughters, Susan Eckstein and Jane (Richard) Westgerdes, all of Celina, and Carol (Bill) Strahm, Estes Park, Colo.; a brother, Bennie Garman, Bluffton, Ind.; two sisters, Mary Garman, Toledo, and Kathryn (Ted) Ballinger, Celina; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Lewis Garman, and a grandson. She retired from Huffy's in Celina Aft.er 35 years. She was a graduate of Rockford High School and a member of Celina Church of the Nazarene. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Larry D. Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, and Aft.er 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Contributions may be made to the church. |
