Winifred Mae (Dillion) Avery, age 71, passed away, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at OSU Medical Center.

She was born on June 27, 1945 in Big Plain, Ohio. She was a 1964 graduate of Madison Plains High School where she participated in the marching band. Winifred retired from Willis Insurance and was owner/operator of WMA Graphics in Ashville. She was a member of Lighthouse Community Christian Church.

Winifred was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Bernice (Ames) Dillion.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Avery; the couple would have celebrated their 51st anniversary February 19th, 2017. Also surviving are her children, Buffie (Greg) Smith of Marysville, Timothy Avery of Lockbourne, and stepson Randy (Tona) Avery of London; sister, Donna (Herbert "Buster") Hoover; grandchildren, Robert Smith, Cody (Nicole) Smith, and Tondy Avery; great-grandchildren; Gavin, Blaine, and Coraline Smith; niece, Tiffany Hoover; nephew, John Hoover, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main Street, Ashville. The Funeral Service at 11:00am with a visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Lighthouse Community Christian Church, 11659 State Route 104, Ashville, Ohio 43103, with Pastor P.J. Rings officiating.

Burial will follow at Harrison Township, South Bloomfield, Ohio.

Family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
