Phyllis E. "Till" Dillion, 80, of Plumwood, died at 8:28 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2011, in the Village At Westerville Nursing Facility in Westerville.

Born December 3, 1930, in Resaca, she was a daughter of Charles Franklin and Helen Mae (Lucas) Dillion.

Phyllis was a former Physical Education and World History Teacher for the North Union School District in Richwood, Ohio. A former member of the United States Air Force. She was a member of the Plumwood United Methodist Church where she had served on the Administrative Board and was a former trustee. An OSU graduate of the College of Education, she and a number of her classmates formed an impromptu sorority which they named the Mu Kow Mu. Together they played many sports against the college "Greeks."

Her survivors are her brother, John V. "Jack" (Maxine) Dillion of Grandview; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Geraldine "Jeanie" Streater, Marjorie Binkley, and Lois "Joy" Cole; and three brothers, David, Charles William "Billy" and James Elwood "Jim" Dillion.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011, in the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, 103 N. Main Street, London. Reverend Carolyn Peacock will be officiating.

Interment will follow in Plumwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday.

As Phyllis was an admirer of nature, her family suggests friends may, if they wish, make memorial contributions in her behalf to a state park or nature foundation of the donor's choice.
