The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus, Ohio
May 27, 2018

John "Jack" Dillion, age 86, was called by our Lord on May 24, 2018.

Jack served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Wasp during the Korean War, and was employed for 40 plus years by AT&T. He was a longtime member of the Grandview Boosters and current member of the GAC. Jack enjoyed his scotch, woodworking, beer, and the occasional inappropriate joke. He was the last surviving child of eight, of parents Frank and Helen Dillion.

Jack loved, and is survived by his wife, Maxine; his son, Jeff (Marcia) Dillion; his granddaughter, Cara (Jack) Blakeslee; and his great-grandson, Jim Blakeslee; and his cat, Callie. Jack will also be missed by his nieces, Karla (Warren) Frank and Gloria (Charlie) Calle; his nephews, Craig (DeeDee) Berlin and Curt (Cheri) Berlin; his great-nieces, Kelly Berlin and Emma Berlin; and his great-nephews, Matt Frank, Marc Frank (Barrett), Ryan (Courtney) Berlin, and Luke Berlin.

A private celebration of Jack's life will be held for his immediate family. Please honor Jack with a memory and a smile.

If you wish to make a contribution to a charity in his memory, Cat Welfare was a favorite of Jack's, and the Kobacker House was wonderful with his later care.
