Individual Data Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio July 14, 1955 William C. McCray, 83, a retired farmer, died Saturday in his home, 48 3rd Street NE, after an illness of five months. Born February 9, 1872, in Harrison Township, Carroll County, he was a son of the late Levi and Ruth (Hanlin) McCray. He had been a resident of Carrollton for nine years and was a member of the Methodist Church here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alzada (Bashaw) McCray; one daughter, Mrs. Cleon Coffy; and a son, Olen McCray, both of Carrollton; a brother, Virgil McCray of Carrollton; and three grandchildren. Services were conducted at the Sweeney Funeral Home Monday with the Reverend Forrest Nees officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery. |
