Individual Data Springfield News-Sun, Springfield, Ohio November 28, 1988 Arthur W. Swords, 69, of Springfield, died in Community Hospital at 8:05 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 1988. He was born on November 11, 1919 in Springfield, Ohio the son of John and Helen (Kittles) Swords and had resided here all of life. Mr. Swords served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of St. Andrews lodge number 619 (F&AM) and Antioch Shrine. He was past president of the Springfield Shrine Club, Drum and Bugle Corps. He is survived by one son, Arthur W. Swords II of Denver, Colorado; a dear friend, Grace Savage of Hamilton, Ohio; three aunts, Birl Hook, Minnie Pulver, Alma Ackerman; one uncle, Clarence Kittles; several cousins including, Norma Ray, all of Springfield. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being served be the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home. |
