Don was born November 16, 1928 in Franklin County, Ohio. He was the son of Ira and Florence (O'Harra) Thomas. He graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1946 and was a lifetime farmer in Madison County. Survived by daughter and son-in-law: Christine and Timothy Roby of London; daughter: Carol (Thomas) Orr of Chillicothe; son and daughter-in-law: Donald and Sandra (Heller) Thomas of West Jefferson; grandsons: Brad Roby and Aaron Roby, Thomas (Jessica) Orr and William Orr, and Donald Thomas III; granddaughters: Elizabeth (fiance: Scott Moore) Roby, Sarah (Aaron) Orr Minor; great grandchildren: Lucas and Jack Minor; a brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Ann Thomas of Bellefontaine; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth; sisters: Patricia and Lillian and a brother John Thomas. The family invites friends to call at the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Crematory, 124 E. High Street, London, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 1, where a funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Berna officiating.
