Robert Eldon Kelch died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Emery and Margaret Kelch. Robert was a lifelong area resident and began his career in Public Service in Gideon, Missouri. Robert was Local Law Enforcement in Caruthersville, Missouri and served the last ten years of his career as a Housing Patrolman for the City of Kennett.

He loved his work and especially all the friends he met. Robert never met a stranger. He was an intelligent man, self-taught and fluent in several languages. He had a great sense of humor and was very outgoing. His warm personality drew many to him. Laughter and smiles were for all to enjoy.

Music was a huge part of Robert's life, he enjoyed playing the guitar and serenading family and friends. He had a passion for firearms and enjoyed the freedom to have and use with safety and respect. Robert taught Amanda how to shoot and enjoyed their time spent at target practice.

Robert is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vicki Wilburn Kelch of Kennett; one son, Jason (Amy) Kelch of Sevierville, Tennessee; two daughters, Amanda George and Kathryn Moore both of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers, Gary (Nancy) Gross and Rick Miller both of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Sharon Kelch of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. He also left behind three dear friends that he truly cherished; Rick Groves, Dan Kinder, and Tena Petix.

Robert's Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on September 29 at Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett with Jay Lyles officiating.

The family requests donations for final expenses in lieu of flowers. Total cost $851. (Donations to date $25) Checks can be mailed to Tri-City LLC Crematory Funeral Home, P.O. Box 386, Manila, Arkansas 72442.
