Keri Sue Dillion Smith passed away April 5, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Keri was born on December 28, 1969 in Wooster, Ohio. She possessed a brilliant mind. Keri taught herself how to read before beginning school. She earned a Rotary Scholarship while in high school and attended Port Elizabeth Girls School in South Africa during her sophomore year. Keri attended the College of Wooster, studied abroad in Scotland at the University of Aberdeen, and graduated with honors in 1992. She attained a master's degree in education from the University of Akron. It was at Akron that Keri met her husband, Don. She was the love of his life. The were blessed with three wonderful children: Katherine (who passed away in 2000), Samuel and Mary-Claire. Keri was a wonderful wife of 25 years and a loving mother, a sweet, gracious and charming woman; a woman of brilliance and fierce independence.

In addition to her husband and children, Keri is survived by her father, Melvin (Mary-Ellen) Dillion; mother, Sandra Brinkerhoff; siblings, Kelly (Brian) Dillion Brauneck and Scott (Theresa) Brinkerhoff; dear cousin, Jo Finn; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 8 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main Street in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown Street in Akron.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery to follow.
