Individual Data Unknown Newspaper 1988 Kermit E. Brandt, 78, of Lock Two Road, New Bremen, died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 1988, in Lima Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born May 13, 1910, in Shelby County, Ohio, the son of Emil and Minnie (Fritz) Brandt. On March 20, 1934, he married Cleola R. Kies, who preceded him in death May 12, 1981. He is survived by two sisters, Esther Brandt and Mrs. Helen Dillion, both of Sidney; and many nieces and nephews. One sister, Marjorie Buirley, preceded him in death. Mr. Brandt was a retired farmer and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Chuch in Botkins. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Patrick Heinl Chapel of Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta with Reverend Linda Hume Skelly officiating. Burial will follow in German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
