Ferguson Funeral Home, Plain City, Ohio December 14, 2022 Carolyn J. Schreck, age 83, of South Webster, Ohio formerly of Plain City passed away Tuesday, morning December 13, 2022 at the Portsmouth Health and Rehab. She was born July 5, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to James A. and Maud (Tuller) Hartsough. Carolyn had a total of 31 years as a school bus driver for Jonathan Alder, Dublin and South Webster school systems. Active member of Miami Valley Steam Threshers, South Webster Community Church, and South Webster Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all she loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With her smile and lively personality, she didn't know a stranger. Carolyn's most favorite hobby was crocheting. She loved to make baby blankets for the birth of a child or a special occasion. She left a lasting impression on everyone. Preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, John M. Fridley. Survived by her loving husband of 65 years: John F. Schreck; children: Phyllis J. Fridley, Asa (Brenda) Schreck, John Frederick (Kelli) Schreck Jr., James (Sara) Schreck; 7 grandchildren: Kevin, Amber, Max, Alex, Heather, Haley and Bradin; 9 great-grandchildren: Woody, Stoney, Elicia, Lilly, Dom, Jackson, Tay, Beckleigh and Bryson; brother: James (Carolyn) Hartsough. The Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street, Plain City with two hours of visitation prior to the service from Noon-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South Webster Community Church, 37 Carmichael Street, South Webster, Ohio 45662.
