Margaret Kennedy, 86, formerly of Marseilles, and recently of Fairhaven Retirement Community, Upper Sandusky, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

Born March 6, 1916, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Holycross) Dillion.

On June 27, 1936, in Kenton, she married G. Norvin Kennedy; he died October 19, 1989.

She was a homemaker and custodian at Marseilles School. She was an advisor for the Marseilles Friendship Circle 4-H Club for 25 years, served as village treasurer of Marseilles for a number of years and served on the election board in Marseilles for 25 years. For hobbies, she enjoyed the activities at Fairhaven.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John (Janet Sue) Churlik, Okeechobee, Florida, Mrs. David (Carol) Smith, Upper Sandusky; two sons, Gerald Kennedy, Venice, Florida, Mervin Kennedy, Upper Sandusky; three sisters, Virginia Klingensmith, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mary E. Stuber, Arlington, Texas, Mrs. Larry (Charlotte) Hollenbaugh, Waldo; four brothers, Harold Dillion, Upper Sandusky, Harry Dillion, Harpster, Leo Dillion, Grand Prairie, Texas, Leonard Dillion, Upper Sandusky; 12 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Four sisters, Carrie Dillion, Patricia Lawrence, Imogene Owen and Louise Robey, preceded her in death.

The funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2002, at Lucas Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with the Reverend Kathy Wirth officiating. Friends may call 7:00-9:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial is in Fehl Cemetery, Marseilles.
