The Union County Journal, Marysville, Ohio July 15, 1948 Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Monday for John Schreck, 73, of Plain City Rt. 3 who died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in his home. Mr. Schreck was a retired section forman. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Schreck; a son, Fred Schreck, Marion; three daughters, Mrs. Grace McWherter and Mrs. Daisy Jordon, Columbus and Mrs. Ruby Spicer, Hilliards; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Ferguson Funeral Home, with interment in Forest Grove Cemetery.
