Springfield Daily News Saturday, May 2, 1959 Jesse Newton Stone, 76, of 1626 Shelby Drive, died in his residence at 6:00 a.m. Friday following several years of failing health. Mr. Stone was born in Madison County, July 23, 1882, the son of William and Ellen Morgan Stone. He had been a Springfield resident for 40 years, and was a retired ticket agent for the Greyhound Bus Lines. Mr. Stone was a member of Central Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Corwin and Miss Katherine Stone, both of Springfield; and a brother, Homer Stone of London, Ohio. His body was taken to Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from 7:00 p.m. Saturday until services at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
