The Bradenton Herald, Bradenton, Florida Friday, Mar 19, 1999 Raymond A. "Jimmy" Pirtle, 97, of Bradenton, died March 18, 1999, in Freedom Village Nursing Center. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributiuons may be made to North Dunedin Baptist Church, 1595 Michigan Boulevard, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Born in Water Valley, Kentucky. Mr. Pirtle came to Manatee County from Dunedin in 1990. He was a department supervisor for General Motors, Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of North Dunedin Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Charles R. of Sun City Center, Raymond A. of Kailua, Hawaii, and Donald L. Francke of Bloomington, Indiana; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
