Virginia Harper, age 79, of Ostrander, passed away October 31, 2024.

Virginia loved her family and her savior Jesus Christ. She was quick to greet everyone with a hug and warm smile. She enjoyed cooking family meals and keeping a spotless home.

Preceded in death by mother, Virginia (Hannah) Hayes; brothers, Dayton, Ronnie and David Karr; and sister, Linda Steinhauer.

Survived by loving husband of 60 years, Gene Harper; children, Sharrie Cox, Bryan (Cathy) Harper, Tammy (Jon) Reichert; grandchildren: Joshua (Caitlin) Harper, Andrea (Joe) Humphrey, Kayla (Eric) Pettit, Jordan, Alyssa and Caleb Reichert; great-grandchildren: Moses, Titus and Hollis Harper, Noah, Easton, Cade and Anniston Humphrey, Elijah, Ethan and Harper Pettit.

Family will receive friends at Big Darby Baptist Church, 6921 Plain City-Georgesville Road NE, Plain City, Ohio 43064, Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral service, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday.

Interment at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Capital City Hospice, Walnut Crossing Nursing Home Memory Care Unit and Big Darby Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her mother, Virginia Hayes (Hannah); and her siblings, Dayton, Ronnie, David Karr and Linda Steinhauer.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Harper; her children, Sharrie Cox, Bryan Harper (Cathy) and Tammy Reichert (Jon); her grandchildren, Joshua Harper (Caitlin), Andrea Humphrey (Joe), Kayla Pettit (Eric), Jordan, Alyssa and Caleb Reichert; her great-grandchildren: Moses, Titus and Hollis Harper, Noah, Easton, Cade, and Anniston Humphrey, Elijah, Ethan and Harper Pettit.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Big Darby Baptist Church, 6835 NE Plain City-Georgesville Road, Plain City, Ohio 43064. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
