Born in London, Ohio, she graduated from West High School in Columbus, Ohio, then attended business school to learn keypunch. She was a Per-School Teacher at Bay Point Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bricker; parents, Ortho Carl and Mary Elizabeth (Hauntz) Burris; her adoptive parents, Ida Mae (Hauntz) and John Shafer; brothers, John and Robert Burris; sister, Dorothy (Burris) Hobbs; and granddaughters, Janet Munch and Laura Guidoboni. Mary is survived by her children, John (Jack) Bricker, Barbara Munch and Cheryl Guidoboni; grandchildren, Brian, Ashley, Jon, Scott and Bob. Burial will be at Bay Pines VA Cemetery.
