Photo from her obituary Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, Naperville, Illinois Monday, May 3, 2021 Nancy Anne Krejci (Michel) of Naperville passed away on May 2nd at the age of 60 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mike and their four wonderful children, Jack, Nicholas, Kurt, and Maddie. She is also survived by her mother, Jane Michel (Long) and the late Gene Michel; adoring sister to Christi (Jay), Amy (Scott), and Kevin (Charlene); beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews as well as being the "favorite cousin" amongst her large extended Irish family. Born and raised in Naperville, she was the true "Mayor of Naperville." She had a large diverse group of friends. Her energy was contagious. She always had a way to make you laugh and smile. She made you feel comfortable upon meeting her. She was the "life of the party." As a person who cared for all, she was as selfless as they come. Whether it was always remembering to send a birthday card or dropping a kind note to a friend in need, she would go to the extreme to help anyone. She made a conscious decision to remain home and raise her children. She was always extending a helping hand and loved being active in the community. She spent her free time volunteering at Naperville North High School and for charitable organizations like the Ronald McDonald House and Little Friends Krejci Academy. She was very close with her parents and siblings and enjoyed spending summers with their families in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Her kind heart, quick wit, and sense of humor will be sorely missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, a memorial sent to Krejci Academy in Naperville, Illinois would be greatly appreciated. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday May 6th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home at 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, Illinois 60540. |
