McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, Newnan, Georgia Tuesday, January 20, 2026 It is with great sadness that the family of Terry Allen McCreery of Sharpsburg, Georgia, announces his death on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Born in Huntington, West Virginia on June 21, 1954. His family moved to California when he was 7, where he grew up. He was the son of the late Charles Clayton McCreery and the late Diana Kay McCreery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Rosemary, his step-mother; his son, Shane McCreery; his brother, Eddy McCreery; and daughter-in-law, Shannon McCreery. Terry was a graduate of Bell High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Terry loved horror movies, his Corvette, and loved riding his Harleys. He also loved being with family and playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Lori; his children: Michael, Derek, Kyle (Sheena), Patricia (Joshua Moore), and Stephanie (Charles Forsyth); grandchildren: Serenity, Kameron, Keeana, Kayleigh, Khloe, Cali, Tristan, Rylan, Ian, Liam; great-grandchildren: Chrislyn, Christian, Cayden, Caysen, Camilla; his siblings, Tanya Thomas (Tony), Shannon Williams (Kregg), Freddy McCreery; and numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of life is pending and will be announced later by the family.
